Facelift (Rhytidectomy)
Facelift is a cosmetic surgery procedure to create a younger and rejuvenated facial appearance by alleviating the effects of muscle relaxation, skin sagging and deep folding of the tissues. The loss of youthful fresh look of the face can be attributed to multiple factors ranging from sun damage to ageing. There are different types of facelifts which may be combined with other plastic surgery procedures such as neck lifts, brow lifts and eyelid surgery.
Facelift surgery aims to rejuvenate the face as well as neck. In some patient groups, this can be provided by isolated facelift surgery and in some groups this needs to be combined with a neck lift procedure especially in patients with 'heavy necks'.

Mr Tekeli's approach is individualised to patient's skin type, ageing style as well as the quality of the facial fat planes. He has a special interest in deep plane vertical facelift procedure which is technically more demanding. However, the effects are longer lasting as well as natural compared to other older techniques where skin may look tightly pulled. He still utilises other techniques such as short scar or extended SMAS techniques. He likes the effects of facelift especially in mid-face which requires an additional skill set to facelift surgery. He will tailor the treatment according to your needs and feasible expectations.

During almost every facelift surgery, different types of nerves and vessels are exposed. Mr Tekeli uses surgical magnifying loupes as well as single use nerve stimulators to avoid any damage to these important structures. He is a firm believer a cosmetic facelift surgeon should be able to carry out facial nerve surgery for other problems such as cancer or trauma.
Neck Lift
Generally a neck lift procedure is combined with a facelift procedure. However, there are certain type of patients who have very "heavy" necks but fresh looking faces. In these isolated cases, a neck lift procedure may suffice on it's own. The procedure is still technically demanding and will require attention to detail in order to get long lasting results.
Lip Lift
This is a simple plastic surgery procedure done at the base of the nose under local anaesthesia to compliment the mid face aesthetics. The length of upper nose is increased in masculine male faces as well as in ageing in both genders. The lip lift procedure shortens the upper lip length and also improves the overall appearance of the upper lip by plumbing up the visible white roll. The scar is hidden within the nasal sill and this is a simple but a very efficient way of improving the lip aesthetics. ​​
Total Facial Makeover
This is a term coined by Mr Tekeli who believes the facial structures should be assessed and treated together tailored to individual needs of every patient. The harmony among different parts of the face is paramount important in order to get optimal long-lasting results. A total facial makeover is a combined list of procedures to rejuvenate the whole face and neck including mid-face, eyelids and forehead, jowls and neck. It will require careful planning and execution with a very close follow up in order to provide predictable good outcomes.
